I Heart Brothas (aka the Bro-Thology Chronicles).

I Heart Brothas (aka The Bro-Thology Chronicles) is a sista's visual love letter to Black Men. This is a labor of love, where I hope to show my sincere gratitude, admiration, and appreciation for your masculinity, sensuality, intelligence, passion, sense of humor and purpose, endurance, and strength.

It is also a place for me to express my lifelong love and appreciation for photography that captures the essense of Black Men, created by all types, amateurs and professionals, men and women of all ages, Black and White and all shades in between.

Oh - and one more thing: I love quotes. Lots and lots of quotes. I try to feature quotes by black people, but it's turning out that I'll feature a quote by a person irrespective of his/her race because the connection with the deeper meaning of the quote was made.

At any rate, y'all beautiful brothas make it worth my while to open my eyes every morning and get out of bed. Thank you Lord.

*Especially, black males. I only know about half the names on this list… but it’s always the same story. Killed for the crime of being black.

Happy New Year, from Philly, With Love!

Superstar.

I’ve been real busy with stuff (read - life), but I wanted to pop my head in and wish everyone a Happy New Year.  I bet a collective sigh of relief was exhaled at the stroke of midnight, wherever you live on this big ol’ rock, because I know I was glad to see 2011 go the way of the dinosaur.  It was a challenging year, to say the least.

At any rate, thanks for hanging in there with me during my extended “absence” from da Tumblr. I lost a few followers, but I ain’t sweating that.  I do peek in from time to time to check out my dash and to see what folks are up to.

I’ve been elsewhere on the Innanets, like my Facebook page, Flickr, Google+, 500px and to a lesser extent, Twitter, promoting my photography work and networking, but it’s my goal to devote more time to my Tumblr because there are so many folks doing good work capturing the essence of Black manhood and there’s so much good stuff I need to share.  I haven’t forgotten about my mission.

So, that’s about it.  I hope 2012 got off to a positive start for all of you.  Holla back and let me know how you’ve been and what you’re up to.
